OK, I;m not a fan of discussion posts with just a link in it. So Im making a thread for links to the most ludicrous of MA websites. Here's one on how to learn to defend yourself from a training dummy:

Oh my god, this is too funny. [much amused] How could one 'train' with this without continually cracking up?

anyone brave enough to give a name & email to get into this site that promises:

Discover exactly how-to DOMINATE any attacker or training partner using
      these breakthrough Aikido self-defense techniques.
Shocking long-lost Aikido take-down tactics that have been hidden from
      "outsiders" for years...
Bone crushing secrets to increasing your punching power by over 300%
      with one easy-to-implement technique...
Astonishing self defense tactics that are so nasty your biggest problem will
be finding a training partner who is not scared to death of you...
Humiliating Aikido techniques so easy-to-learn that even the most overweight, old & out-of-shape beginner will think they are magic...
      Much, much more!

It does look, um, rude somehow. Though there's a good idea in there -- I've thought about building something with 'arms' to train against before, much like the demo vid they have on the site.

I don't have anything that rivals that. The only moderately amusing link in my martial arts folder is from last year when I was going to a silat workship. I needed to buy a sarong (not only the traditional outfit, but also used in trapping your opponent for some very cool disarms, throws, and chokes). I then also needed to find a site that explained how to wear it, found this one silly but helpful: www.expat.or.id/info/howto...sarong.html

(Yes, I keep around a link on how to wear a tie too.)
