Inaugural Daughters of the Arts Forum and Meeting
Just a reminder, October 27th is the first DOTA meeting. Be a part
of your martial arts community by enjoying dinner and martial arts-
oriented discussion. This is a FREE event. All women are welcome, no
matter your martial arts experience – or inexperience.
One of DOTA's main goals is to create a community of female martial
arts practionars. Many of us have the experience of being the only
girl in the dojo. This is a great training opportunity; however, you
rarely have the chance to talk with other female artists regarding
your experiences. Please join us and gain that opportunity! Dinner
will begin at 5:00 on Saturday, October 27th, and a discussion
session will follow at 5:45. For those of you who have Halloween
party plans, come anyway! We will have you out the door by 6:30 –
plenty of time to enjoy your Halloween fun!
Check dotaorg.com for event details.
If you already have a prior engagement on October 27th, consider
becoming a DOTA member and benefit from what our organization has to
offer.
Hope to see you there!

Re: Inaugural Daughters of the Arts Forum and Meeting
Tue, November 6, 2007 - 5:36 PMI am obviously not a member, but I know both of these women as excellent martial artists. Their website is listed in the original post, you could ask them there and post the response here. I was just trying to help promote a women's martial arts group on a women's martial arts site. Funny, I thought there would be more issues from macho men martial artists than women. Did you even go to their site? Everyone seems to have issues. Man ...

Tue, November 6, 2007 - 6:48 PMSince you didn't qualify your post anywhere I don't see an problem with Janet asking for a little qualification. And who said this was a "women's site"? You're on it. Just like there are women on all the available martial arts group on tribe. -

Tue, November 6, 2007 - 10:13 PMYes, I did go to the website.
I was under the assumption that the poster here would have been an active participant there and could answer what I thought were reasonable questions.
Thank you.
